Parker Ellis Johnson

Parker Ellis Johnson came to us on Monday at 4:51, weighing 7 lbs 4oz, and was 18 inches long. We went to the doctor Monday morning for a routine check up and I was dilated to a 4 with the baby's head being extremely low. So the doctor stretched my cervix (ouch!) and said to go into the hospital at 11:00 am to see get checked again. Well after a couple hours at home we went in and I still wasn't having any contractions. But after being at the hospital for a half hour or so the contractions started coming fast and hard, out of nowhere it seemed. Soon at was at 5 and I got an epidural, and then I was at a 10 a couple hours later. Unfortunately the baby's was sideways (just like Jordan's) which meant I had to push for about an hour and half and still had to have a lot of stitches... So I'm pretty sore, but grateful to have had such a fast labor and delivery.

We have the best friends and neighbors a person could ask for! We had so many people volunteer to help with Jordan. We had people watch him all day and even spend the night in our apartment.  It made the whole experience so much better knowing that Jordan was cared for and very happy.

Jordan, so far, has been sweet towards the baby, but also doesn't want a whole lot to do with him. He does show a lot of concern though, when the baby is crying. Parker is great, he is very quiet and is easy to soothe.  I say this now, but who knows what he'll be like once his sleepy stupor wares off in a couple weeks. He's a great little eater and is putting on weight fast! Night time hasn't even been that bad. He wakes up every couple hours of course, but goes back to bad right after eating.  Waking up all the time hasn't been that bad for me with this baby, probably because I'm used to it.

Life is really good, and I'm really happy.

I loved all of them, but especially Jordan smiling while Parker is in the basinette.

Thank you so much for posting! Sounds like the labor wasn't too horrible, but no fun either :(. You look great Tiffany! You're almost making me baby hungry! But not quite . . :)

Wow, you're boys are cute! I think Jordan will be a great brother to Parker. Parker looks like a healthy boy. It's fun to see how his expressions are so similar to Anne's - all newborn looks, I guess. Thanks for posting the adorable pictures. I also love the name.

Hooray for new babies! He's so cute. I think he looks a lot like Jordan so far. Who knows, though . . . I love the picture of Jordan smiling at him in the cradle.
